Whole School Sponsored Walk 2025

On Friday 19th September, our students took part in an incredible 9.6 mile sponsored walk through the beautiful local countryside. It was a day filled with muddy boots, aching legs, and most importantly smiles, laughter, and a powerful sense of achievement.

From the moment they set off, our students showed remarkable determination. Many shared afterwards that they had never walked so far before, yet they pushed through every step with resilience and positivity. Staff were truly impressed by their grit and spirit, especially as the miles added up and the blisters began to form!

One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the ice-cream van stationed at the halfway point, offering a much-needed sugar boost and a moment of joy for our walkers. But for our teachers, the real highlight was witnessing the respectful and thoughtful behaviour of our students throughout the day. They supported one another, and represented our school with pride.

We are incredibly grateful to the families and friends who sponsored our students. Thanks to your generosity, we have already raised over £3,000,  a fantastic achievement! All sponsor money should be handed into Resources by Friday 10th October, so we can finalise the total and begin putting the funds to good use.

The money raised will help support our rewards system, ensuring students continue to receive recognition for their hard work and commitment.

As we reflect on the day, we are bursting with pride. Our students were shining examples of excellence, and the walk was a perfect demonstration of all three of our core school values: Respect, Determination, and Excellence. Whether it was through their perseverance, their conduct, or their enthusiasm, every student who took part made us proud.
