Applying for Clarendon Academy Sixth Form

In order to apply for Clarendon Academy Sixth Form, you will need to:

1. Know your predicted GCSE grades

2. Consult with the following two documents:

  • Pathways Model

At Clarendon Sixth Form, we operate a Pathways Model, which guides students to the combination of A-Level and/or vocational subjects that are most appropriate for their prior levels of attainment.

  • Entry Requirements

This document outlines all of the courses we intend to offer for 2024-27, as well as the grades you will need to achieve in your GCSE / vocational courses in order to access them

3. Important Notice Regarding Vocational Subjects

4. Please be aware that the new government has paused and initiated a review of post-16 vocational qualifications at Level 3 and below, including BTECs and other alternatives to T Levels. This review may impact courses like Applied Science and Health and Social Care. While the defunding scheduled for August 2024 has been paused, the government is expected to conclude its review by the end of the year.

5. Until further notice, we will continue offering these courses. However, if defunding is confirmed, we will do our best to provide appropriate alternatives. We will keep students and families informed as more information becomes available.
