Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you have had a fantastic break and are keeping safe and well.

In terms of our Pastoral and Medical support in school we have made some changes. Last term we were able to open our new Welfare Hub which is situated in the DT block.

Students who are struggling to cope with the return to school or who are having issues which are causing them emotional distress are able to visit to book an appointment to speak to one of the team. In addition, from the Welfare Hub we will be able to help with referrals for any other specialist assistance such as mental health support, school nursing or mentoring.

Your child’s first point of call will always be their tutor who will be able to guide and advise them as well as their Head of House who can signpost them to additional support.

The welfare Hub will also be the first point of call if a student is feeling unwell or needs first aid. If your child is feeling unwell and sends you a message please can you support us by asking them to go to the ‘Welfare Hub’ if we believe they need to come home we will directly contact you from there.

Kind Regards

Tom Nolon
