Two very excited teams of year 9 students travelled to Melksham Oak this week to compete in an U14s Netball Festival. The students have not played many matches against other schools despite being in year 9 due to lockdowns starting when they were in year 7, so they were rearing to go.

Each team were entered into different pools, they both had 4 matches. The year 9s demonstrated a variety of different skills that we have been working on during Games lessons and after school club. Each player showed determination throughout each match to work hard no matter the score. There were some fantastic individual performances on display, but most importantly, both teams worked brilliantly together, despite this being the first time many have played a competitive match. Every player represented Clarendon Academy in great fashion and Miss Trim and Miss Wiltshire were extremely proud of their efforts.

We can now look forward to our fixtures after Christmas.

Final Results

Clarendon Pink – 2 wins, 2 losses – 3rd in Pool A

Clarendon Black – 1 wins, 3 losses – 4th in Pool B
