Sponsored Cycle for Disadvantaged Students

Back
June 16th 2022

We all know from the press and from our own experiences about the spiralling costs of living affecting families around the county right now. This is putting a lot of pressure on many students and families in our own school and across the other schools in Acorn Trust, so we want to try to help them as much as we can.

In response to this, the Acorn Education Trust Cycling Club (including Rob Price, David Cade, Anthony Sanchez and Sam Worsfold, from Clarendon, Steve Clark and Nick Bloxham from Kingdown, and Jeremy Bowman from West Ashton) are aiming to cycle around all 17 schools in Acorn Trust on the 16th July 2022.  The distance they will be travelling will be around 126km - around the equivalent distance from Trowbridge to Birmingham!

We would really appreciate if you could sponsor us by making a donation via our JustGiving website here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/tourdacorn .

All proceeds will go towards supporting vulnerable students across the Trust.

If you would like to support this event in other ways or simply find out more, please contact David Cade (Deputy Headteacher, Clarendon Academy) at dec@clarendonacademy.com

We greatly appreciate any support that you can offer.
