Welcome to our new Year 6 to Year 7 Transition Page
Current Year 6 students are unlikely to be able to follow the usual transition programme into The Clarendon Academy. Rest assured, we will continue to do everything we can to ensure your child’s transfer from Year 6 to Year 7 is as smooth as possible. During Term 6, tutors will contact families via telephone so that you may ask any questions you might have.
Meet the Heads of House
Your child will be a member of either Eagle, Falcon or Kestrel House. A brief introduction to the Head of House can be found in on the House system tab.
Our teachers have come up with a variety of activities you can do from home. If you are running out of things to do, or want a taste of the sort of activities you’ll do at The Clarendon Academy, you’ll find something on the transition work tab.
You can find copies of emails and documents sent so far on the communication tab.
Scholars, our uniform suppliers, are reopening on Monday 15th June. Due to delays caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, the new Clarendon uniform will only be available to buy from the 6th July. More information, including a link to the supplier can be found in our uniform tab.
We have attached a copy of the data collection form to gather important information about your son/daughter here. This form needs to be completed for each Year 6 student starting with us in September 2020.
We would be grateful if you could please complete the form by 22nd June 2020. Please be assured that the information will be stored securely and used appropriately in accordance with the GDPR. We will contact you with other information requests in due course.
The School Site
We have attached a copy of the school map along with additional pictures of key buildings and features to help your child become more familiar with the school. This can be found in the map of the school tab. Please be assured that during their first few days, they will be shown around the school site and have time dedicated to finding their way around, as we understanding that this can be a daunting concept for many children.
