Dear Parents and Carers

I hope you and your families are all okay. During these really troubling times, I want to regularly check in and offer support.

In light of the Prime minister’s latest ruling, we are expecting numbers in school to reduce even further. I agree with him that the safest place to be is at home. However, I remain firmly committed to supporting the families of key workers and providing a safe place for our most vulnerable children.

Clarendon is here for these families if you absolutely need us for child care. If you are not currently using us for this provision and are struggling, please do contact me directly on: 07732800899. I am happy to talk it through with you in person.

Our students and staff working from home:
The vast majority of our staff and students are now working at home. I stress the word “working”.

Show My Homework:
Our teachers are putting work onto Show My Homework every day. Please keep logging in and encouraging your son/daughter to complete this work.

  • Students should follow their normal school timetable. This will give them a good routine and structure to their working day.
  • If you have lost/forgotten your Show My Homework login details, please email: Mr Sanchez ( . He will be able to help you out.
  • If you do not have the technology at home to use this system, our reception area of the school has work printed out. Work for each year group is clearly labelled. As part of your permitted daily exercise, please feel free to collect some (in terms of reducing the time you would need to leave the house, I  would recommend collecting enough to keep you going for a while).

Emailing Staff:
All of the teachers’ email addresses are on our website. We continue to work (albeit it from home), so please do contact us regularly about the work that has been set. Feel free to email work back to us for feedback and ask for additional work/resources.

Free School Meals:
The Government is still allowing us to leave the house to get essentials such as food and medicine. With this in mind, we can still continue our Free School Meals service. If your son/daughter is entitled to a Free School Meal, please feel free to collect a packed lunch from the side gate at 1pm every day. Alternatively, we will provide several days’ lunches in one go –  again, this is to reduce the times you would need to leave the house.

All the best and I look forward to seeing our students back properly when this all blows over.

Mr Price
