Dear Parents,

I wish to inform you that from September 2020, Clarendon Academy will be making changes to the school uniform.

In line with our new branding, we are moving away from black as the principle colour of our uniform, towards a softer looking blue. We have been working with Edward Kirk at Scholars to design a new, smart, durable, and better quality uniform.

This will be available to buy from June 2020. No old stock will be available from this point onwards.

The price of the uniform is exactly the same as the old one and is as easy to purchase.

We are not making any changes to the PE/Games Kit. It is only the main school uniform that is to change.

How the changes will come in: –

Year 7: New School Uniform is to be worn from September 2020.

Years 8 – 11: The choice of wearing the new uniform, or continuing to wear the old uniform. As and when students need to buy replacements, only the new uniform will be available to them. We would encourage all students to wear the new uniform, but we understand that parents may wish for their sons/daughters to wear out their old uniform first. From September 2021 all students in Years 7 to 11 will be expected to be in the new uniform.

Years 12 – 13: No changes to the existing Grey uniform.

We plan to upload some pictures of the new uniform on our website soon. We also have two mannequins in our reception area for any parents who might like to pop in and see them.

We hope that by giving lots of notice, families will be able to plan for this conversion. However, please do contact us for support if needed.

Yours faithfully

Mr Price

Headteacher
