Clarendon celebrated World Book Day in style as our staff dressed up as characters from the world of children’s literature. We know Miss Larby is practically perfect in every way, and she proved it as Mary Poppins, whilst as Dr Doolittle Mr Smith showed he can talk to the animals just as brilliantly as he can talk to our students! For once Mr Lawrence didn’t need the high vis vest to stand out in his Where’s Wally costume, whilst Mr Berry took our rewards policy to new heights dishing out the house points as Dumbledore (provided you were in Gryffindor!) We apologise to any students who had a sleepless night with visions of Miss Milton as Jacob Marley – but hopefully the fun we all had will be what sticks in the memory! Thanks to all the teachers who got involved for being such great sports – which of these characters will you read about next?
