Clarendon Rewards Terms 4, 5 and 6 2021

Dear Parent/Carer

I am writing to you to update you on our rewards structure in light of current restrictions in place within school. Key to some of our reward prizes is that students are able to feel part of the large group of their peers who have worked as hard as they have. We designed many of the rewards with this in mind and with the intention that students would be able to see that others across the school also exemplify the values they do and to see that hard work and embodying the school values translates to success in all areas of school life all the way up through the year groups.

However, like many aspects of life at the moment we are limited in what we can safely do. We cannot within our rewards structure run events and experiences that involve large groups of students gathering, sharing food, being in cross year group experiences or going on a trip to a public venue, such as a cinema.

With these limitations in mind and our desire to ensure that students are still able to receive a prize and be rightly rewarded for consistently showing the school values of Respect, Determination and Excellence, we have altered some of the rewards for the remainder of the school year. All of these rewards are now such that they can be handed to a student to take home and enjoy. The Starbucks and Shakeaway vouchers of course need these establishments to be open and students to be able to visit them; with this in mind the vouchers are valid at least until the end of this year.

Alongside these rewards we will continue to send letters home to you so that you know that your child has reached the next impressive milestone.

Throughout the recent period of remote teaching, teachers have been continuing to assign students points for all their excellent work so many are due their next reward. We will be resourcing and assigning these rewards owed in the coming weeks. Please bear with us and rest assured that no student will miss out.
