Year 9 Options
We believe that students are likely to be more successful if they focus on the subjects that interest them most.
While this arrangement also means that they have more time to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding in those subjects which brings the highest possible achievement. All students study a core of subjects, including English Language, English Literature, Maths (and Statistics), Science, PE, Games and Beliefs & Values, with PE, Games and Beliefs & Values being non-examined subjects. In addition, students will choose four other courses from a wide range of academic, creative and vocational courses.
The information below introduces students and parents to the subject choices which will be avaliable for Year 10, starting in September 2023, and the process of making those choices.
